Grassroot Givers offers a unique opportunity to learn more about people, groups and organizations in our local community. Make a connection, share resources, and support people you may not otherwise have an opportunity to cross paths with. Organize a donation drive, volunteer at an event, or coordinate a project. Here are some ideas of how other groups are participating.
- Girl Scout troops holding a fundraiser to redecorate a playroom at a local shelter
- High school youth group volunteering at a carnival to raise money for a child with cancer
- Quilters making homemade pillowcases for children living in a shelter for the homeless.
- Jack & Jill leadership group organizing a collection drive for household supplies and paper products.
- A book group collecting laundry detergent for Veterans housing programs
- Individuals and families helping to sort, clean and organize items to deliver to families in need.
We provide volunteers with a certificate for community service hours.
